Rating Guide

We have tried to keep our rating system simple.
Suitcase iconUsing our suitcase icon we rate whatever we feel is appropriate and relevant. Five suitcases is the ultimate and means we love it! One suitcase means, well, life’s too short. Here’s how it works. If we are reviewing accommodation, we would rate;- service, room, facilities, beds, bathrooms etc. If we review places to eat we rate;- food quality, atmosphere, value for money, etc. You get the idea - it’s pretty straight forward.

Below is a visual guide to our ratings and where they appear.

Ratings Explained

Child-Friendly Ratings

Of all the sites that give advice, rate and recommend holidays, few if any consider children. We have included a number of different ratings based on our children’s comments. We believe the food ‘Yummyness’ rating and the activity ‘fun factor rating’ are just as important as any adult considerations when considering places to visit. These scores are rated by children and not by adults thinking what children should like!
