RiverStone Estate Winery

Submitted by Editor on Friday, 10 October 2008

Victoria’s Yarra Valley has become world famous for its wineries and that’s not surprising when you consider there are over eighty. That’s right over eighty! How many can you name? You can probably name the big ones, Domaine Chandon, Yering Station, Rochford Wines, De Bortolli, etc. However, if you’ve only visited the biggies you are definitely missing out!

Did you know that if you drive past the entrance to Rochford wines and turn left down Skye road you will arrive at RiverStone Estate Winery? This boutique winery situated in the heart of the Yarra Valley on the banks of the Yarra River at Coldstream is a real secret. Not only is it unique in it’s approach, we believe it also has some of the best views in the Yarra Valley.

The Riverstone Estate homestead and Cellar Door is built from bluestone and hundred year old timber sourced from the historic Newmarket Saleyards in Epsom Road, North Melbourne. Owners, Peter and Jenny Inglese have been amazed by the popularity of the winery. They have extended three times since they opened and now cater for a variety of functions including weddings, corporate events, and social clubs.

Dining at RiverStone is relaxed and comfortable. If you visit on a summery day when a live band is playing, you can sit on the verandah, sip your wine, savour some juicy King Prawns, chat with your friends, and bask in the beauty that is the Yarra Valley.

RiverStone restaurant and Cellar Door is open 7 days from 10am to 6pm and Friday and Saturday nights from 6pm to 11pm.  For more information visit their website:
