A Maze’N Things

Amaz\'Nthings

OK, we’re absolutely positive that if you have been to Phillip Island in the last few years you can’t help but notice the big floating tap on your left as you head into Cowes. Every time we pass there is always the inevitable question, “how does it work?”. The usual scientific explanation is given and everyone is satisfied, that is, until the next time we pass by.

So what’s Inside?
Having been to Disneyland, Epcot and many of the big theme parks, it always seems like these small local attractions are a bit of a waste of time and money. However, we were pleasantly surprised by A Maze’N Things. Sure it’s small, but it’s amazing how much there is to do. Through clever design they have been able to use every nook and cranny to create some pretty fun and interesting activities.

Mirror Maze

The mirror maze is so good we went through it four times. Then there’s the old head on a plate illusion, the gravity room, the shrinking room (with obligatory photo opportunity), walk-on puzzles, hi-tech games, hospital wheel chair maze and the big scary vertical slide (our favorite). Outside there is a huge wooden maze and a mini golf course - aptly named Maxi-Golf.

What’s to eat?
There is a cafe with the usual food fare - wedges, pies, sandwiches, cakes - would have been nice to see some themed food - puzzle cakes etc. The iced chocolate and iced coffee were delicious.
